Why is the left and the right complaining about Rick Warren being invited to speak at Barack Obama’s inauguration? This is a clear sign of the ongoing childishness of the bickering political parties. The polarization of the parties is a double edged sword.
One the one hand this sibling rivalry keeps us safe by not allowing rampant silliness from either party. On the other hand it keeps us in a state of gridlock.
The bottom line here is that regardless of our personal political persuasion once a President is elected that person is our President. S/he isn’t the President of the party that supported their nomination. They are the President of the entire United States.
Frankly I didn’t vote for President Elect Obama. However, he is our new President and I intend to support him in any way I can. I urge everyone else to do the same. He obviously has the attitude of supporting everyone. He’s taking flack from all sides for a simple act of inclusion.
Why would anyone complain that an American Citizen support our newly and freely elected President? What utter nonsense! This is like a little child who loses at a sports event showing poor sportsmanship.
Let’s step back from this childish bickering for a moment and realize that not only is patriotism and inclusion being promoted here but also God is being honored. What better way for a leader to begin his stay in office? I for one applaud President Elect Obama for his fairness and boldness in choosing to honor God.
